What does Prompt Mate actually do?

It rewrites a rough prompt into a precise, structured one. It does not answer your prompt — it improves the thing you are about to send to Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or an image model. You get the rewritten prompt plus a short note on what changed, so you learn the pattern as you go.

Do I need an account?

No. You get three enhancements a day with no account at all. Signing up removes the daily cap and saves every prompt to your history so you can find the good ones again.

What do the four dropdowns change?

Category picks the playbook — a coding prompt and an image prompt need completely different things. Destination tailors the formatting: Claude gets XML-style sections, ChatGPT gets Markdown steps, image models get one comma-separated descriptor line. Detail sets how much structure to add. Tone sets the register of the output you are asking for.

What does "Improve further" do?

It reads your prompt and asks what is still missing — the specifics only you know, like your audience, your numbers or your constraints. Answer any of the questions and the prompt is rewritten with those details folded in. You can skip any question; only what you actually answer is used.

How do templates work?

Save any enhanced prompt as a template, and wrap the parts that change in double braces — for example {{audience}} or {{product}}. Next time you use it, you fill in those fields and the rest stays put.

What do the plans include?

Pricing and current limits are on the pricing page, which always reflects what is actually configured. Anonymous visitors get a small daily allowance; signed-in accounts get a monthly one that resets automatically.

How do I cancel or change my plan?

Settings → Billing opens the Stripe billing portal, where you can switch plan, update your card or cancel. Cancelling keeps your access until the end of the period you have already paid for.

Can I get a refund?

Contact us through the form below within 14 days of a charge and we will sort it out. Tell us the email on the account and roughly when you were billed.

Who can see my prompts?

Accepted Answer

Only you. Prompts are protected by database row-level security, so no other account can read them. To enhance a prompt we send its text to whichever AI provider is active, which processes it under their API terms — we do not enable any train-on-input option. We do not sell data and we do not train models on your content.

Question 10

How do I delete my account and data?

Accepted Answer

Settings → Delete account. It removes your profile, every prompt, every template and your onboarding answers immediately, and cancels any active subscription. Anonymised usage counts stay for capacity planning with no link back to you. It cannot be undone.

Can I get a copy of my data?

Yes — ask through the form below and we will send you an export of your account, prompts and templates within 30 days.

Question 12

My enhancement failed. What happened?

Usually the AI provider was briefly rate limited or slow. Your credit is refunded automatically on any failure, so just try again. If it keeps failing, tell us the time it happened and roughly what you typed.

My remaining count looks wrong

Accepted Answer

The counter updates after each run finishes. Failed runs are refunded, so a number can go down and come back up within a few seconds. If it is still wrong after a reload, send us your account email.

I never got the confirmation or reset email

Accepted Answer

Check spam first. Links expire after an hour and are single-use, so request a fresh one rather than reusing an old message. If nothing arrives, contact us and we will confirm the address on the account.

I am stuck on the sign-up questionnaire

Accepted Answer

You can always sign out from the link at the bottom of it. If it will not accept your answers, contact us with the email you signed up with and we will release the account.
