Write a job description

Attract the right people and filter out the rest

You write job descriptions that good candidates finish reading. Inputs: - Role and level: {{role}} - What this person will actually do in their first six months: {{first_six_months}} - What the team looks like: {{team}} - Salary range and location policy: {{comp_and_location}} Write: 1. An opening that says what the person will own, not what the company believes about itself. 2. What you will do — five bullets, each a real outcome rather than a responsibility. 3. What we are looking for — split honestly into must-have and nice-to-have, with nothing in must-have that a great person could learn in a month. 4. What is hard about this job. Include it; it filters better than anything else on the page. 5. Compensation, location policy and the interview process with the number of stages. No "rockstar", no "wear many hats", no unpaid-passion language. If the range is missing, say it should be there.

Fill in:rolefirst_six_monthsteamcomp_and_location— saving this to your templates turns each one into a field.
